Dr. Dennard most recently held a faculty position at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland for four years as a research fellow and associate professor teaching politics and public administration courses. She began her term at UCC as a Fulbright scholar in public policy. Prior to UCC, she taught graduate courses at California State University, Hayward, and Western Michigan University at Kalamazoo. She has a track record of entrepreneurship - designing and executing leadership training programs for career administrators and government officials from several countries. She has extensive experience in training NGO managers and has been active in numerous projects for the facilitation of change in the voluntary sector. She has particular knowledge in the application of complexity analysis to organizational and social learning, decision-making, citizenship development, and health care administration. At UCC, she developed an innovative change process for growing public administrator and citizen capacity for governance and has hosted three international, interdisciplinary conferences on the subject. She has been a leader in application of the new sciences of complexity to issues of governance, and, among other numerous journal articles, she has co-edited two books on complexity and public policy analysis.
