Professor Brooks’ research interests include American government at both the national and state levels, public policy and administration, representation, and methodology. His dissertation looks at the politics and policy consequences of state public-employee pensions. His research appears in both the Journal of Politics and the Journalo f Public Policy. Professor Brooks completed his Ph.D. in Spring2016 in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, andsub sequently spent a year as a postdoctoral research scholar at Duke University’s Social Science Research Institute.
